Was president of the Indian Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeons(IACTS) in 2008.
Founding member of International Society of Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgeons(ISMICS), and is the only Indian on the editorial board of it’s journal- Innovations in Cardiac Surgery.
Nominated as Member of MCI, and is on its academic council.
Currently serving as Chief Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeon, and chair of Department of Cardiovascular Sciences at Fortis Hospitals, Bangalore.
