Dr. Narayanan is a recognised pioneering computational scientist, working in the fields of Biophysics & Neurosciences. He currently serves as the Principal Investigator of the MBU at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
He is a recipient of the prestigious Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award. He has received fellowships from the HFSPO, France & DBT India.
His work on computational models to map the physiology of the brain and develop the neural architecture have earned great acclaim from various fields involved in Brain Mapping.
An academician par excellence, Dr. Narayanan has conducted courses in signal propagation & synaptic transmission, cellular physiology, theoretical & computational neuroscience.
